The BÜFA Group has once again been awarded the gold medal by the independent rating company EcoVadis for its outstanding sustainability measures and successes. With an overall score of 74 out of a possible 100 points, BÜFA is among the top five percent of medium-sized companies in the industry “Manufacture of basic chemicals, fertilizers and nitrogen compounds, plastics and synthetic rubber in primary forms”.
EcoVadis assesses companies on the basis of their guidelines, measures and published reports in the four subject areas of environment, labor and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. Industry-specific factors, the size of the company and the geographical location are included in the analysis and evaluation.
The BÜFA Group has thus maintained the high level of the last ranking in its entirety and has even improved in the area of ethics through further measures. Based on the objective rating by EcoVadis, BÜFA continues to pursue the goal of continuously making all its activities more sustainable – from both an ecological and a social perspective. In addition to the documented successes and strengths, EcoVadis also points out unused potential, risks and specific suggestions for improvement. This feedback helps BÜFA to achieve its sustainability goals, to further increase its sustainability performance and to improve value creation.
BÜFA openly shares this holistic and transparent orientation with its stakeholders. That is why customers of the Oldenburg chemical company can view the EcoVadis assessment form.
