BÜFA Composite Systems, supplier of customized polyester resin specialties and complete solutions in Rastede, Germany, will take over the distribution activities in the composites sector of Joh. Klinglhuber & Söhne Handelsgesellschaft mbH (JKS) in Austria as of January 1, 2023. In future, the company will then operate under BÜFA Composites Austria GmbH, which remains located at the current site in Vienna.
Due to the acquisition of the composite division of Joh. Klinglhuber & Söhne Handelsgesellschaft mbH (JKS) BÜFA Composite Systems is expanding its presence both on the Austrian market and in the Eastern European region. „We are pleased to welcome the composites team and the composites customers of JKS to BÜFA“, says Felix Thalmann, Chairman Managing Director of the BÜFA Group and adds: „The transaction is a good strategic opportunity for us to further strengthen our leading position as a specialty manufacturer for the composites market in Europe.“
The trading company JKS, founded in 1837, distributes, among other things, fibre reinforcements, release agents and lubricants, resins and processing equipment, as well as CORE materials for the composite industry. A close partnership with BÜFA has already existed here for over 30 years. Together with AOC, who have been supplying resins to BÜFA Composite Systems for specialty processing for more than six decades and with whom a close distribution partnership also exists, composite customers in numerous European markets can be reliably supplied with products and services from the complete BÜFA Composite Sys-tems range.
„The merger with JKS is the ideal addition to strengthen our previous market activities and, together with the existing JKS products and the specialty and distribution portfolio of BÜFA Composite Systems, to be the competent, comprehensive provider of complete solutions for composite customers in Austria.“, explains Lothar Kempf, Managing Director of BÜFA Composite Systems.
The managing director of BÜFA Composites Austria will be Eike Siegert, who formerly worked as regional manager for South-East Europe for BÜFA Composite Systems in Vienna and has the best market knowledge and many years of experience in this industry-sector. „With this acquisition, BÜFA is even closer to its customers on the spot in Austria," adds Siegert.
„We are glad to hand over the JKS sales activities of the composites sector to BÜFA Composites Austria in trustful hands. A life's work that has existed for six generations is being continued. With Eike Siegert and Sales Manager Christian Kubalek, two competent contact persons are available for this purpose“, reports Mag. Thomas Mayer, successor of the company founder Johann Klinglhuber.
About JKS
The company Joh. Klinglhuber & Söhne (JKS) was founded in 1837 by Joh. Klinglhuber senior, a craftsman in Vienna Gumpendorf. The company traded in all kinds of yarns for the textile industry in the territory of the Austrian-Hungarian monarchy. From 1956, technical textiles such as fiberglass, carbon and aramid fibers were added as reinforcing materials for the composite industry, and later geotextiles, construc-tion fleeces and grids for the construction industry. In 1990, unsaturated polyester resins were added to the product range and, from 2001, machines for their processing.
Mag. Thomas Mayer, successor to the company founder in the sixth generation, and his competent team offer the most innovative and highest quality products.
